In the Ottoman era, "lala" referred to the person responsible for the education and care of the sultan's children, the princes. Lalalas were not just nannies or caregivers but were also the educators of future leaders. This special role entailed a critical responsibility in shaping both the personal development and governance skills of the princes.

Duties of the Lala:

Educating Future Leaders: They provided princes with education in areas such as governance, diplomacy, and strategy, ensuring their development as effective leaders.
Character and Values: They offered individual and societal education aimed at developing the princes' moral values, social responsibility, and leadership qualities.
Preparation for Future Roles: They ensured that the princes were prepared for their future roles as sultans or high-ranking state officials.​

JCI İzmir is turning into a training factory with a blend of professional and amateur trainers. In 2024, we are setting out with the goal of becoming one of the local organizations in JCI Turkey, and even JCI globally, that trains trainers.

In this new era, by offering a variety of training programs, we aim not only to prepare our trainers but also to groom the future leaders of JCI. We are committed to designing our trainings in a way that contributes to the development of participants, strengthening their leadership skills, and delivering them effectively.
